American bakeries range from wholesale operations that supply restaurants to neighborhood shops that sell bread, pastries, cookies and cakes over the counter, and many of them also pour coffee. Bagel shops boil and bake on site and sell out of favorite flavors by late morning; donut shops open before dawn and are often family-run; patisseries and cake studios take custom orders for weddings and birthdays and usually need one to two weeks' notice. Ice cream parlors, gelato shops and frozen yogurt bars are seasonal in the northern states and year-round in the South and on the West Coast. Prices are posted per item, by the dozen or by the pound, and most shops now take cards and mobile payment.

Hours are published for 5 days a week. Typical hours are 10 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Fluff Bake Bar has the best cookies and treats. They are unique and taste amazing. I love the Unicorn Bait, The Couch Potato, and the Black and White cookies to name a few. You must try if you like cookies and want the best.

The veruca salt cake is great, but so expensive. It’s not a good value, I felt like I’m getting ripped off when I placed my order. Everyone loved the cake but they don’t know how much I paid 🫩. Cookie were fine. Owner has an unpleasant disposition and is passive aggressive when you ask questions. Get your baked good to go and try not act up when you’re there to avoid getting sideways unwarrented comments. Maybe owner should stay in the back and focus on production if they’re not a people person.

Their lemon tart is the best I have ever tried. This bakery is just constantly looking for perfection. Their specials on Saturday are Michelin star level. It is worth every penny and their service is really good. There is a long line on Saturday morning but it moves quick once they open.

Walked over and shared the bourbon pecan tart (tasted very much like a butter tarts, in all the good ways). A bacon fat gingersnap, star crossed lover (which is like a rice crispier treat, dipped in chocolate) Everything delicious

Pretty good bakery, might be my fav in town. There was a short line at opening on a Saturday but it moved quickly. I got the honey butter chicken kolache which was really good - nice and flakey and you could definitely taste the honey. The Franklin bbq kolache is also pretty good. I also got the SHO, fluffernutter, chocolate chip cookie, birthday cake cookie, birthday cake whoopie pie, butter cookie, couch potato cookie, booty call brownie, star crossed lover, and call me maybe brownie. The call me maybe brownie, birthday cake cookie, lemon meringue croissant, and couch potato cookies were really good and I’d get those again (the call me maybe brownie is really really sweet tho). The other items were good as well but just not as good as the others. The butter cookie in particular was a bit flat in flavor for me vs the expectations that I created in my head. I also got a potato quiche which was pretty good and flaky. The s’mores brownie was a pass for me - I wasn’t a fan. All in all solid spot tho and will be back! Great customer service too
